Poem
Did I Miss Anything?
Question frequently asked by students after missing a class
Nothing. When we realised you weren’t here
we sat with our hands folded on our desks
in silence, for the full two hours
Everything. I gave an exam worth
40 percent of the grade for this term
and assigned some reading due today
on which I’m about to hand out a quiz
worth 50 percent
Nothing. None of the content of this course
has value or meaning
Take as many days off as you like:
any activities we undertake as a class
I assure you will not matter either to you or me
and are without purpose
Everything. A few minutes after we began the last time
a shaft of light descended and an angel
or other heavenly being appeared
and revealed to us what each woman or man must do
to attain divine wisdom in this life and the hereafter
This is the last time the class will meet
before we disperse to bring this good news to all people
on earth
Nothing. When you are not present
how could something significant occur?
Everything. Contained in this classroom
is a microcosm of human existence
assembled for you to query and examine and ponder
This is not the only place such an opportunity has been
gathered
but it was one place
And you weren’t here
(Tom Wayman)
Today for reading we read a poem by Tom Wayman. The poem is called did I miss anythings? The poem is about him miss a class that waited a long time for him to come. After we were done we answers some question then search up five fact about Tom Wayman.

One of the positive words that I chose was amazed and one of my negative words was grumpy.

Then when we are done we put our design in a file so Ms Ferguson could 3D print it. We had a lot of fun in this tech session, and hope that we can improve our designs, and have them printed in the next session.

Peace
This term for Inquiry we were learning about Peace. The reasons behind it is simple. We were learning about this to as an commemoration all the soldier that fought in the World War 1 and 2. Did you know that it has been 100 years since World War 1 ended. We think peace is important words to have because 'Peace is when there is freedom from war, argument and live together without violence. Also respect values and get a long together with each other'. For this activity I worked with Josh and Miki.

How have camels adapted to their environment?
Are you aware that camels are a special species that live in the desert. They can go without water for a week or more, and can handle temperatures of up to 42 c because of the changes in their bodies over time.
One of the physical changes is they can drink around 46 liters of water in one go and they can go several month without food because they store fat in their hump. This fat them turns into energy to keep them strong.
Camels have a double layer of eyelashes to protect the sand from going inside their eyes. The eyebrows help the eye from shield it from the sun and they have big thick lips for the sharp cactus so they can eat it and get water out of it. Camels have a thick layer of fur to keep warm when it get cold at night. As the sand gets very hot during the day these animals have pads on their feet and stomach so they don’t get burnt.
A desert is a hot and dry place to be at and there some of the weather can cause a really strong sandstorm. Sandstorms are really dangerous because they can make you blind. Breathing in sand is another danger for camels so they have large nostril that they can open and close to protect them from the sandstorm.
Camels have adapted so they can survive in the desert.
This week we wrote an explanation about camels and how they adapted to the environment. We have also been looking about how their physical changes. Like what helped the camel survive in the desert. Our group watched a video that tell us information about the camels.

Formal - Informal
For today we talked about formal and informal language. Formal language is used when you have a job interview, or sending a greeting card to someone important like you boss, writing a letter to your parents and informal writing is when you talk to your friends, text you friends, how you usually text and write grocery lists.
