Activity 2: Impossible Burgers

For this activity it is your job to read the nutritional facts about these burgers and to work out the difference between the two burgers in the following areas:

On your blog, share your results. You can use the following three sentences as a guide.

1. The new impossible burger has 50% less calories than the original impossible burger.  
2. The new impossible burger has 4% less fat than the original impossible burger.  
3. The new impossible burger has 9% less sodium than the original impossible burger.  

These are the 3 fact that I chose to write about the impossible burger. I find them interesting because I thought that they were all made of meat. I liked this activity because it included meat which I like and because I got to learn about different ingredients in a burger (meat). 

Activity 1: The Social Network

For the first activity for day 5, we were making 5 rules that people should follow when sharing picture or streaming videos online. It is important to stay cyber smart because you might not know what could happen. One of the rules that we had was never share your location while streaming online it is because some random person might come to your door step.      

Activity 3: The Columbian Exchange

For this activity, please think of someone who has had a positive impact on your life. Who is this person? What did they do that was positive?

On your blog, please tell us about this person.

I chose my mum because she cares for me and makes food for me. Also she tell me to do better at school and learn more so that I am ready for college.

The first person I ask was Victoria and she say she accomplished of getting her first care award. The second person I ask was Karlos say that he accomplished to be more confident when speaking in a big crowd. Summer Learning Journey: Week 1 Day 3 Activity 1

For this activity, please watch this short introductory video from The Water Project.

On your blog, share what you have learned about The Water Project with us. What is the goal of the organisation? Where do they work? What have they achieved?

For the first activity of the third day I needed to research and write about the water project which is an African organisation that's trying to give young girls in Africa a proper education. After watching the video on the organisation I found out that millions of people go without clean water every day, and many people die to water borne illnesses. 

Day 2 Activity 1: Faster than a speeding bullet

This week for the summer learning journey teaser week for Activity 1 day 2, we were making four similes. The similes that I made were: Cristiano Ronaldo is fast as a cheetah, I am small as a mouse, I am lazy as a koala and Arnold Schwarzenegger Is strong as a gorilla.        

Activity 3: Big Friendly Giants

This week for the summer learning journey teaser week for Activity 3 I drew the big friendly giant after listening to this video. The friendly giant has big ears, big round eyes, yellow teeth, and a big nose. He lives in a dark cave. He has a deep loud voice and he is as tall as the Sky Tower. He is also a kind giant, he doesn't eat people but wants to be friends with humans.

Today for the second activity for the summer learning journey teaser week we were learning about our pepeha. It was hard for me to pronounce my pepeha because some of the words in moari I struggle to say them, but then I am going to keep trying to learn my pepeha.

Activity 1: New Zealand Royalty

This week is the Teaser week for the Manaiakalani summer learning journey. Today for the first activity that we were doing was a profile page about a famous songwriter named Lorde. At the age of 13 she was offered to make a record. One interesting fact that learnt was that she was born in New Zealand in Takapuna.  

Summer learning Journey:Day 3 activity 1

Being In a big family will not be good because there might be a baby and cry a lot and I might no have nought sleep and they might be annoying to me and we might fight over stuff like watching TV and they might embarrass me and that's why I don't want to be in a big family.

Today for day 3 activity 1 we had to write, do you want to be in a big family why? or why not? and I chose why not because it's my decision if I want a big family.

The wharepuni is different to my house because the wharepuni is not tall and the wharepuni get visit a lot and and the roof is different because my one is a triangle and the wharepuni got pattern on the roof and it is for people to do they pray.                    


for the day 2 activity 1 we had to conspire our house to the wharepuni and we had to make a blog post about it and wharepuni is different to my house.     

Summer learning Journey:Day 1 Bonds Round

I don't want to do waka Ama because it going to be hard work like training and I might not be good at pushing the paddle and I might get tried doing it and look fun doing it but I thing is not right for me and if I do it then I might have to train a lot like most days.

Today for the bonds round I had to talk about if I want to be in a waka Ama race and I had to write why or why not about the waka Ama.

My trip to another country was nervous and the country that I found was New Zealand and new Zealand is very fun to go because there are other staff to look at and eating like kiwi fruit and other food like pipis.

Today for activity 2 we had to wire that we had to go to another country we had to imagine it and then we had to imagine that we are in a waka and founding a country and how we feel.

Fact 1: The bother always been mean to maui and they always make an excuse so maui can't come fishing with them and they said your to young to go fishing and you will take a lot of space.        

Fact 2: Maui want to go so bad and then he mad a plan the plan is to go in the cone and then he made his fishing line he went on the cone and hide himself and then when the bother came the said some the is odd and then they went off and when there far Maui pop up.   

Fact 3:One of the bother said this is our grandmother are we gifted to us maui said protect our fish and then maui return with the people.
