Tessellations

Today for maths we were making a tessellations with the object on the slide. The object that I use was a shape that look like a L. For my design I was trying to make it reflect so that it look like there are two design.      

Transformation

Today we were learning about the 4 types of transformation. After that we made a DLO about the transformations. We did this to understand what the 4 types of transformation are. The transformation that we were learning was rotation, enlargement, reflection and translation.  

Market Game

This week for maths we are learning about marketing and budgeting. We played a game called market game. It to learn more about budgeting and if we will get a profit or a loss. This was hard because some of the question was hard for my partner and I. In the end my partner and I got a loss by 20 and 18 dollars. 

Maths

This week we were making a slide about the total lifetime of owning a pet dog and how much it will cost . The dog that we chose was a border collie, in the slide we added the life span, the average wight, food cost, what gender, the food and how much it will cost for the registration.         

Rugby Pitch Sizes Challenge

This week for maths another challenge was to answer questions on rugby pitch sizes. Some of the other questions were: What is the perimeter of a maximum size of rugby pitch? And, what is the area of a maximum size rugby pitch? After finishing all of the other questions, my group needed to create a DLO on how we found our answer.

Rugby World Cup

This week for maths our theme was rugby world cup. We had seven question to do, our first question was about what is the different in seating capacity between the largest and the smallest stadiums in Japan. After we were done doing the seven question we made a DLO about one of the question we did.       

Multiplication Game

This week LS2 were making a maths game for our classmates to get better at there math knowledge. my maths game was all about multiplication, this was a fun task because when someone plays my game I feel good about it because it is showing my learning to the person who is playing the game, and for them to learn more about multiplication.

Place Vales Partitioning

This DLO show how I used the strategy of place vales partitioning to solve addition questions. During our math lesson I practiced using this strategy with number and words question. When I was answering the words questions I had to look for the math so that I knew what numbers to work with. My screencastify shows the strategy I used. The more I used this strategy the more the easier it got.              

Blog Analysis

We analysed our blog post data to find out how many blog post we have in each month. We learnt about what is average means in math. For 2015 I have 147 blog post, for 2016 I have 89 blog posts, for 2017 I have 148 blog posts, for 2018 I have 126 blog posts and for 2019 I have 16 blog posts so far. My goal for this year is to get 700 blog posts so I need 171 blog post to reach my goal. That means I need to do 19 blog post each month.       

E-ako Maths

This week we did E-ako for math, this was was about addition, skip counting, counting in tens and about time tables. I thought it was quite easy and got all of the answers right. Next time I will challenge myself and choose a bit harder level. We Worked of E-ako for 20 minutes to solve as many problem as we could and I enjoyed doing this task. Math sheet

This week for math I have been practicing my basic facts up to 100. We use Mr Wong's challenge
sheet. It was hard for me because we had 2 week holiday. It was kind pf hard because I am not good with my hundreds. But at the sometime it was easy for me because some of the question I don't need to think about it to long.        

Math Challenge

Today for math Mr Wong created a math challenge for our math group. The point of the game is us trying to solve all of the math question fast. I did not solve it that fast but I got all of it correct. It was fun for me because it was a challenging game and some of the question was hard for me.

Adding Decimals

The week I learn how to add decimals numbers. It was an easy example to add decimals. I learn what is rounding and compensating. This math strategy was very easy to use on the problem.   

Algorithms

Today for math we did a DLO about algorithms. Algorithms is all about trading and exchange the number to the hundreds, tens and one. This is strategy that I learnt it is very easy to learn it is all about adding the number together in the column.       

Who Wants To Be a Mathionaire?

Today for math we played a game called Who Wants To Be a Millionaire. This game is all about us answering the times table, there is a board of money at the side. Each answer you get it right the money will go up to $1,000,000. If you get all of the questions right you will get the money up to $1,000,000. If you get one answer wrong we need to to start over again. It is very fun playing this game because I can get better at my timetable. Here is the Link to the game.

M&M Presentation

This week we did a DLO about M&M's, it is about us collaboratively together with our group to find the information that we need and the work is all about finding information about M&M like finding three interesting fact about M&M, compering our group chat to the M&M chart about the colour in the packet, making a bar graph and a pie graph and then finding history about M&M. It was fun to do this activate because I found out some interesting fact that I don't know about M&M. One of the fact is When Forrest Mars saw the Spanish civil war eating chocolate pellets then he got the idea for M&M’s to be created. It was very challenging because me and my group did a lot research to find the information for our DLO.               

Pencil Code

Today for math we used a site called pencil code to practice our understanding of angles and direction Our task on pencil code is to make a triangle and a square on the same pencil code like this image that I made and there our other shapes to make on pencil code. We used number and angle vocabulary like left, forward, backward, right and other angles. It was fun doing it because I really enjoyed using my math words to create these shapes. Maths Strategy

This week on Tuesday I have been working on my maths with Joseph. We had to solve an equations which was addition. The way we solve this was by using place value. Joseph and I also had to help each other to solve problems using Place Values

This year has been a fantasising, over this month, school had started and we had to complete a task which included an Paragraph and an DLO. The DLO had to have information over the past years of your blog totals.

This week we for math we play a game call that's my money and we had to do task to get money and there are lotto ticket and damage.For damage we had to paid 12 dollars and we are still doing it and for example we had to do daily fact to get money and here a image of a daily fact sheet and we had to do it to get more money.
