M&M Research

Today we did a DLO about M&M's, it is about us working together with our group to find the information that we need and the work is all about finding information about M&M like finding three interesting fact about M&M, compering our group chat to the M&M chart about the colour in the packet, making a bar graph and a pie graph and then finding history about M&M.

DigiTech: Week 4


This week for tech we did Digi Tech and in Digi Tech we finished off our animated stories about going to the park I didn't finished because Some prat I didn't know how to do it. If I had a chance to do it again I would not do it again because it is too hard to do and the step is difficult for me. I would not change my animated stories because I like it this way.       

This is an example of an animated story that I recreated using Scratch.

The compnents used to recreate this story include:

Sprites (For Characters).
Backdrops (For backgrounds).
Dialogue (So sprites can speak to each other).

The codes that I used to recreate this story include:

  • Event scripts (The start of the story). 
  • Event scripts (Then the start of the next sequence).
  • Look scripts (To allow the sprites to talk in the animated story). 
  • Look scripts (To change the backdrops).
  • Control scripts (To put pauses into our animation).
  • Motion (To move the sprites).

The Unicycle Craze



Today for reading we read a story about The Cycling Craze, it is about some of the things that were used in the olden day. We also learning about the different types of cycles in the olden day. There are three types and they are unicycle that means it has one wheel, bicycle that means it only has two wheels and last but not less the tricycle the tricycle has three wheels on it.

Making Connections


Today for reading we did reciprocal reading the book that we were reading is called energy boost it is about eating healthy food. We read the book and ask some question in the group. When we were done read the book we made a copy of the template it is called making connections. There are three question for me to answer it is text tot text, text to world and text to self.

In DigiTech today, we started the inital planning for our DigiTech. This includel completing the following tasks.

The purpose of the context of the context brainstorm is to get images in our neighborhood to make a good animated stories in the community and the context brainstorm is all about getting images in our neighborhood and putting it on our context brainstorm.

The purpose of the context of the conceptual statement is planning a animated stories for, children and adult in our neighborhood.

The purpose of the context of the planning time frames is planning how long it will take to finish your work and how meaning session it will take.

Kiwi Can Reflection


Today for Kiwi Can we were learning about a new topic. Our new topic is call accountability and our theme is still integrity. Our Kiwi Can tutors Mr Matt and Miss Lily explained us the definition of accountability. Accountability is when you take responsibility for our own actions and setting for successes. At kiwi can we play a game called green light. If Miss Lily say green light we switch with our partner, Red light is when you go on your partner back, yellow light is when you sit on your partner laps and if Miss lily say fruit salad then we power walk around the circle until we are behind our partner. For our activity we played something called copy me. Firstly we were to form into four groups and each group needs to have a leader. Then the leader gets one card and the rest of the students in that group need to do that move. Every card the leader gets we have to do the move that is written on the white board.

Making Connections



Today for reading we did making connections. We read a book called The Forty Coats Man. It is about a lady trying to blame the forty coats man for poisoning  her pigs, but a girl discovered that they were poisoned by old paint that had lead in it. Then the forty coats man had dinner with the girls family and then left the town. When we were done we made a making connection DLO connection with text to text, text to world and text to self.

Kiwi Can reflection

This week for kiwi can our topic is integrity and are theme is role models. First thing we did in kiwi can was talking about integrity and role models. The kiwi can teacher tell us who is you role model and my friends say family members. When were done, we played a game call followed the leader and the game is about someone doing something and another person had to guess who is the leader. When we finish we talk about role models and when we were done we played a game call statue. This is how to play the game The kiwi can teacher will tell you one of a new Zealand role model and we had to do the statue when we were done we went outside to lineup.         

DigiTech


This week for Digital Tech we were learning to code. Firstly we made a copy of a google slide. This google slide is for adding our picture for the coding and it also has the instructions for coding. Then we were to create a scratch account, and when we were done doing that, we looked at some of the animated stories. Finally we've reached the creating part. For this part we were to turn a story into an animation, and the story that we turned was about a boy and a girl going to the park.

Respiratory System


Today for inquiry we did a game to help us about the respiratory system. The game will tell us to write the correct answer in the text that cont to the body part of the respiratory system. It was hard because some words I don't know about it in the respiratory system.

Tech: DigiTech Session 1

This week we began our first session for Digi Tech. We talk about our neighborhood , scratch and about the calendar. Our teacher for Digi Tech name is Ms Anderson when we were finished we did a kahoot about our learning that we talk about and then we did a game based a movies of Moana. The game tech us coding, and our goal was to make it to a certain position.
