Kiwi Sport

This week for kiwi sport we played net ball. First we play a game like golden child, the person that not running they had to pass the ball to each other and if the ball touch the person that you stared with then the person that are running had to stop. at the end we did get to played net ball because the time run out.

Evaluation of my animated story

In the context of in the neighborhood I will design and produce a an animated story for children |5 - 8 oldsto tell what happen when you wake up in the morning.

Auckland Harbor Bridge

This week for inquiry we talk about the Auckland harbor bridge, our principal came and talk to as about the Auckland harbor bridge and telling us about a story many years ago about the people wanting a bridge to go across and makes some home. After the story we went off to make a DLO about the Auckland harbor bridge and add some information about it.    

Adding Decimals

The week I learn how to add decimals numbers. It was an easy example to add decimals. I learn what is rounding and compensating. This math strategy was very easy to use on the problem.   

Readtheory

Today for reading we looked at our chart to see how well we are progressing in reading. Now I am getting the hang on this because last time it was hard for me now it is not hard for me. I did a lot of progress because last time I only got up to three or two levels but now I got up to five and four. But my goals is getting up to six or seven.   

DigiTech

Today for tech we did digiTech we try to finish our animated stories form last week I didn't finish it because it was hard for me to do the coding and the animated stories. The animation relates to our neighborhood, and my one was about a person late for the school trip.           

Sky Tower Trip

Today we went to explore the sky tower for our school trip. First thing we did was got into two groups, one of the group went up the sky tower on the elevator and our group watched a video about the sky tower. After that the teacher asked us ten questions about the video and then he give us some paper that we need to work it out up the sky tower. Then we went into the elevator and when I look throw the clear glass I felt sick. Then when we got there we did the work I didn't finish it because it was hard and then we took the stairs down to level 45. After that we went to take a different elevator and we went home. Thank you Douglas Bates for sponsoring us the money so we can go to the sky tower and thank you to Mr Dobson for coming to help the teachers look after us.

Scale Drawing

Last week was math week, for math week we did about scale drawing. The first thing that we did was learning what is an enlargement, ratio 1:2 and a scale factor. After that we went off to look for a picture to send to the teacher and when we were finish doing that we went to get a practice sheet to do after the teacher printed our picture to do. I was doing Deku form my hero academia. After that we did a grid on the small piece of paper after that we went to get the A4 paper. After that we did a grid on the A4 paper. Then we stared drawing when we were done drawing we stared to colour them in. When I was done coloring we glued the drawing on a colour paper and we made labels to put it on our colour paper. It was my first time doing it and I think I did great, the best part was the drawing because I like to draw. What I found hard was doing the coloring because I am bad at coloring. Next time I will do a hard one because I want to challenge myself to draw a difficult scale drawing.

Kiwi Can

This week for kiwi can we learnt about problem solving. Problem solving is when you are sharing ideas to get the best solution after that we play a energizer that energizer is call rock, paper, scissors. The game is about us playing rock, paper, scissors if they lose then we go down on our knee after that we played a game called hand soccer it is all about us using a hand to hit the ball in the goal.           

Pechaflickr Narratives

Today we finished off our writing from last week because we just need to do our recording. We recorded a Pechaflickr. A Pechaflickr is when you tell a story with out looking at the words in the book, it is like making it up about what is going to happens next with out reading it form the text. These helped us because we got to talk together and try to link the words up together. It was fun because we got to learn new things that we didn't know.         

Assembly

This week for Assembly Julian and I was the one who did the projector to day because the year 8 stay at Tamaki collage for a day to see what is going on at collage. I was the one who did the turning it on and off, it was hard for me because it was my first time doing it. Julian was the one getting the picture or song up on projector. It was fun trying new thing.        

Kiwi Can

This week for kiwi can we talk about resilience and goal sitting after that we play an energies call snatch and our active was golden child. Let me explain the first game, snatch is all about us getting into a circle and the teacher will put the cones in the middle. Then we look back and we put our hands behind our back. If the teacher say snatch then we walk into the circle and garb a cone. But if we dive in to grab the cone then we out. After that let me explain the other game. Golden child is about one of the team shoot in the ball in the hoop and the other team run and the last one is call golden child.           

Wheel Words

Today for reading we did a game called wheel words and it was all about us trying to make a words out of the letter that we got in the game. We can't make a word if we don't use the letter in the middle and it was a challenge for me because it was hard for me to look for a word in this game. The amount that I got out of 28 was 10 and I haven't solve the 8 letter words, 9 letter words, 4 letter words, 5 letter words and the 6 letter words. I got one obscure word it was bing.          

Cook Island Voice Practice

This week for cook island week we practice some cook island words and every time I say one I will get missed up like kia orana. We were working in pairs, my pairs was Fui and if we say it wrong then we will keep do it over and over again after that we record it out side. We got a good one but I don't think it was good enough.                     

Wheel Words

Today for reading I did wheel words. Wheel words is a game that you need to make a word with the W in the middle like west, news. it was very hard for me to do because I was shrugging to find word and I only got up to 12 words instead of 29 words in wheel words.
